Physical Health = Mental Health

I get a lot of grief for saying this because it's not an absolute. No, you're not going to happy all the time if you're physically healthy. No, it's not going to fix your anxiety and depression.

It will, however, make your mental health stronger to withstand the negative feelings you feel daily.

We all go through times in the day where we feel terrible about ourselves or have feelings of anxiety or depression. Some more than others but we all have it in some form. Physical activity helps give you the confidence to know who you are as a person which them protects against negative thoughts. It also releases hormones that promote happiness.

The other part of physical health is looking and physically feeling better about yourself. Smaller sizes of pants fit better. Shirts fit tighter in the right places. When those things line up and you walk by a mirror without thinking negative thoughts, your mental health will sore.

Yes, you should love yourself first or you'll never fully love yourself no matter how small you are, but loving yourself doesn't mean you shouldn't strive to be better. Better looks different for everyone.

Get moving. For not only you're physical body but for your mental health.
